Seaworthy by Nathan Oldfield

January 1st, 2012

Just watched Seaworthy, a surf movie by independent film maker, Nathan Oldfield. Beautifully shot, with a chilled out soundtrack and a moving story as the centrepiece for the film. Check out the trailer below!

Thanks Brad for buying this for me for Christmas.

Relentless Revolution: Powers of Three (surf film)

May 16th, 2009

This is the film that I didn’t end up seeing at the London premiere, instead I downloaded it from the Relentless website (in ipod format).

The short film was moving, poignant and got me inspired for my next surf trip. I won’t be riding anything like the size of the waves in this film, but the sentiment of commitment and searching for new ideas, styles and situations is the same.

Get stoked and check out the trailer above!

A little retro digital photography

February 1st, 2009

I’ve been experimenting in PhotoShop this afternoon with some filters and effects. Check out some of the results below.

Rose and me in Athens, Greece

October 18th, 2008

Rose and I had a great start to our Greek holiday starting with a 2 day trip to Athens. The weather was beautiful, not a cloud in the sky, between 25-27 degrees, we couldn’t have asked for more.

We stayed in the Student Travellers Inn situated in Plaka in the centre of Athens. We walked around most of the sights including the Acropolis, various temples, libraries, columns and parks and got some amazing photos. We ate out both nights and were treated to lovely authentic Greek cuisine.

I didn’t really know what to expect from Greece, but so far my expectations have been exceeded and we are both having a great time. Our next destination is Crete!

Free Range Art Exhibition, Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane

June 25th, 2008

There’s a really good free art and photography exhibition called Free Range on at the moment over at the Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, London.

Rose and I stumbled across the 3rd week of the show a few week’s back, whilst walking around the East End on a Sunday afternoon. There was some really inspiring photography exhibited by recent Uni graduates which prompted me to try to experiment more with my new Canon. Id’ thoroughly recommend checking it out.
