This takes man-made waves to another level. Some clever dudes have come up with the technology to create a surfable man-made wave. Standing waves and flow riders have been around for a while now, but this looks much more fun. Check out the video below and head over to the Wave Garden website for more info.

Now I am back on terra firma (and hundreds of miles from the sea) maybe the tarp is the way forward for those flat days!

A video from a friend of mine, Andres Rosas, who helps out with a surf camp/project in Alto Peru in Lima. They help disadvantaged local kids through surfing and being part of something positive! Ride on!

Here’s a few pics from our surf trip yesterday to Cabo Blanco, it was solid, heavy and generally going off its tits!

We took a trip out to Punta Balcones (the most westerly point of South America) the other day on a little surf expedition. Unfortunately we didn’t score any decent surf but we did visit the sea lion colony!

With the next big swell not arriving until later this week (although there are always waves in Lobitos) it seemed only right to share a few more pics from the last one!

We organised a little football tournament between the WAVES crew and the Lobitos locals with a grand prize of 40 Soles going to the winning team! The comp was held on the beach and everyone involved had a great time. Check out a few pics below!
