The Torre Glòries / Agbar Tower marks the gateway to the new tech district in Barcelona. Designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, the tower was completed in 2005 and stands just shy of 145 metres.

I'd been waiting for an opportunity to get a shot of it for a few weeks. So one evening, noticing out the office window that the sunset was pretty special, I rushed up to the roof and captured this aerial photo of it set against the illuminated backdrop of Barcelona.

Shot using a 20 second exposure on a Canon 550D with a 10-20mm Sigma wide-angle lens.
